Okanagan Equine Veterinary Services

Okanagan Equine Veterinary Services is located in the central Okanagan city of Kelowna, British Columbia.  We are a progressive full service equine hospital, ambulatory service, equine reproduction facility and referral center.  Our veterinarians are committed to providing caring and professional service with a large variety of diagnostic and treatment options.  We place a strong emphasis on education, allowing our clients to make the best and most informed decisions for their horses.

Surgery and Diagnostics

Our board certified surgeon offers both emergency and elective procedures such as colic and orthopaedic surgeries including arthroscopy.  Our well equipped equine hospital allows us to offer a full range of diagnositc techniques such as video endoscopy, gastroscopy, regular and digital radiography, and diagnostic ultrasound.  We provide round the clock monitoring for intensive care cases as well as long term rehabilitation for recovering horses.  Our indoor and outdoor facilities are ideal for lameness and pre-purchase exams.

Reproduction

The hospital is located on 13 acres with multiple types of housing arrangements.  This allows for boarding and care of broodmares, stallions and foals.  Reproductive services include artificial insemination with fresh and frozen semen, collection of stallions, processing of fresh semen, semen freezing, routine and high risk foaling, and neonatal intensive care.  Okanagan Equine is an accredited quarantine facility where stallions can be collected onsite for the purpose of shipping semen both to Europe and Australia.
